Hi! I’m Matthew Berg, PhD

Currently, I am a postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Peter Stirling’s lab in the Terry Fox Laboratory at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver, Canada. Previously, I was a postdoctoral scholar in the lab of Dr. Judit Villén in the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington, Seattle. I completed my PhD in Dr. Chris Brandl’s lab at the University of Western Ontario.
My research focuses on understanding how loss of translation fidelity impacts everything from individual proteins to cells and entire organisms using genetics, biochemistry, proteomics and systems biology approaches.
